The Sanctuary
is the overall holder of a Special Licence which
grants it the rights of development and management
of the entire property. The Sanctuary has a Foreign
Investment Approval from the Council of Ministers
which includes the development of 54 private
residential sites and 3 commercial lodges.
Currently there are 2 commercial lodges operating,
namely Nyati Beach Lodge on the eastern shoreline
and Dugong Lodge within the western bay.
All the
development on the Sanctuary is low-density with an
eco-friendly design framework being followed in
order to maintain exclusivity and the aims of the
project as a conservation area. Several private
holiday homes have been developed and in use for a
number of years.
