Summer (October – March)
Either ad hoc thunderstorms usually in the
afternoons preceded by humid build-ups in the
mornings or continuous light rain that lasts a day
or two. Average rainfall is 850 mm per annum, of
which most occurs between December and March.
Temperatures generally range from 28°C - 33°C with
humidity between 70% and 95%
Winter (April – September)
Cool and dry with daytime temperatures on the coast
range around 22°C - 27°C with humidity much lower
than in the summer. Frequent mist and dew in the
mornings - much of the winter precipitation is as a
result of dew
February to March is generally the cyclone season
with semi-continuous wind during these months.
Wind
Prevailing wind is the south easter, which switches
into a north easter
